(because I'm a Zelda nerd)
Ryuu's blue eyes looked out of the cloudy window with black orinate frames. His kingdom- his livelyhood- was all blanketed in the shadow of night, the red moon giving off an un-earthly glow to his cities and feilds. He closed his eyes and focused his energy with steeled deternimnation.
"You're going to hurt yourself..." Seeker manifested from the shadows without a sound, an steeped forward, his turoquise and black hide seemed to stand out agianst the dull colors of the Night.
"But I must try." The dark-red and gold dragon said. His black underbelly almost melted into the colors around him. He tightened his focus, and expanded his energy. His golden markings began to glow with life, completely alien in the dull greys and whites of his castle tower.
In his mind, he saw his feilds, then the forests surrounding them. The were also effected by the shroud of the Night, and he creatures were hiding, leaing the forests lifeless.
"Well?" Seeker interupted his king's focus.
"There is no sign of the Princess. We must continue searching. Send word that another platoon will be heading out tomorrow morning." Ryuu said, his heart heavy with loss. The princess was he only way to save his kingdom from the shadow Beasts tha murdered for fun and stalked his villages. He sighed, then turned to face his best friend.
"What about the Falcons?" Ryuu asked, a last ditch effort before restarting tomorrow.
"They have not returned either, and we're still calling them with grass-whistles. Face it, Ryuu She's not coming today." Seeker was always one to get to the point, no matter how much it hurt him or his King.
"Without her, we cannot match the power of the King of Shadows."
"And untill we can defeat him, we won;t wake up from this god-forsaken nightmare."
Ryuu didn't respond, he jut stared out the window, hoping for a miracle.
